KIA Champ Into The Arena Qualifiers Concluded
The final round of qualifiers concluded in style and the last two spots of the National Finals were secured by Johannesburg tournament winners, First Team and well deserved finalists Young Legends. The battle lines are now drawn for the final on 2 June at Randburg Sports Club where they will meet their Kwazulu Natal and Cape Town rivals. The 32 Gauteng teams showed skill, resilience and determination and was well received by the entertained supporters, with Dash Lolo and Inceptions pitting their wits for the bronze medal match.
“The Johannesburg qualifiers were of the highest level and was a very good way of concluding the provincial tournaments in line with the National Finals in June,” said Brian Baloyi, Kia Champ into the Arena ambassador.
“We are honoured to have won the Johannesburg qualifiers for the second time. It is truly a wonderful accomplishment and one that we are proud of,” added the Winning Captain Malice Kasa
KIA Champ into the Arena National Finals will be tightly challenged by Cape Town representatives the Untouchable FC and Fast Five, while the Durban flag will be flown high by Mobitel and Mzansi Legends . The winning team will earn the sole spot to represent KIA Motors South Africa (KMSA) at the global competition in Belo Horizonte, Brazil on 24 – 27 June 2013 and will also have the pleasure to witness a FIFA Confederations Cup 2013 semi-final match live.
